travel to or from Corfu on the day you wish. |
| Before you begin, bear in mind that : |

The "open type" (ordinary ferry boats) complete the
journey Corfu-Igoumenitsa in 1 hour and 45 minutes and cannot travel in
very windy weather conditions (7-8 Beaufort or more). |

The "closed type" (bigger boats with covered parking area)
complete the journey Corfu-Igoumenitsa in 1 hour and 10 minutes and rarely cease
running due to bad weather. Also, when the Port Police do not allow the departure
of the open type ferries due to bad weather, the closed type ferries double their
departures in order to cover the gaps in the service. Thus, if you are obliged to
travel during bad weather, contact the local Port Police for information on changes to timetables.
